there were waves at birch bay today. pretty nice setup. can park right next to the beach.

head high , no technique on lefts, some yoga , maybe...
but this guy had better luck,
that was fun, waves on the right side had a better longer ride, not as dumpy, some small barrels there, we need 6ft tide with 1.3HB more often; 4 sessions in a week .. tired.

Slappy, yes you do. I had it from Westport, but its only $30 for the year of $10 for the day.
BTW, I think I saw 4-5 guys total kiting there (no more than 2 simultaneously). One guy was boosting some enormous airs on a board with straps. Don't know anything about the sport to know how difficult that was but it looked impressive from the beach. Other guys were out on surfboards. I didn't realize people just use normal shortboards, always thought it was some special kite specific board.

Thought some you might find this interesting. I've been looking for some tips on catching waves late after slicing up my hand. Not the best video for SUP as I'm not going to be getting barrelled on my hypernut but good for you short board rippers out there.

Sunday morning, tide is only good from 8-11am (12 to 6ft tide) at WB. if you see HB >0.8m then worth the drive, as it will be glassy as well.

Looks like a bit of a wind bounce this afternoon and I'd say there are some longboardy/SUP waves to be at WB until high tide cut off around 630.. can't make it, but maybe Tues early for repeat.
