Agreed. I much prefer local date/time, compass direction and compact form ... which drove me to write this very crude parser for METAR/TAF.

Most METAR/TAF decoders drive me nuts with UTC date/time, direction in degrees and too much information ...

When I used an iPhone 3GS (over a decade ago when they were affordable) ... I found AeroWeather was my favorite METAR/TAF decoder. The Android version didn't display local time ... I wonder if it does now

Yes, I much prefer your decoder Alton. Thanks for making it available.

Also thanks for the app tip, I had been using StationWeather for an app but Aeroweather is a cleaner output.
