Hallelujah! Sunday morning prayers have been answered at 72nd St.

1.5 hrs on 12m + surfboard in S 18-25 with Andrew (9m), Dimitri (8m), Dan L (14m) and Joe (12m). Started way overpowered in S 25 but 12m was a good choice to extend our session as wind eased off.

It was so sunny I got Teletubby tan lines.

Kinda sweet to end the week with 3 sessions (Thu, Fri + Sun)

2 more late arrivals making it work on big 14m and 11m kites.

Heading off now to enjoy the rest of the weekend with a grin.

Hallelujah! Sunday morning prayers have been answered at 72nd St.

Lucky you, did that wind bomb hit there? Dave and I were rigging when it hit and we thought we had scored the elusive White Rock Holy Grail! That lasted until we hit the water and we couldn't even get off the beach. Looking forward to Thursday now.

Adam and I scored the windbomb at crescent, 1.6 hours on water, .5 hours of that way lit on my 10m.

Forgot my woo, but boosts were bordering scary with 30+ knots and a perfect wave direction for launching.

Lucky you, did that wind bomb hit there?

I believe the wind bomb hit 72nd St first since Andrew (first on the water at the crack of dawn) was super lit and boosting big on this 9m. I with Dimitry and Dan caught the tail end but still enjoyed 1.5 hrs in wind that was steadily easing off.

Nice thing about 72nd St is its exposure to ENE to WSW. Wide open and immune to wind shifts.

Strange how the wind seemed to stay fairly local to boundary bay. There was nothing on Vancouver or at cypress. I was listening to the radio saying about power outages and gusts up to 90km but couldn’t believe it as it was so calm here.

It was unsettled, the wind was a powerful thunderstorm that passed though WR, few more passed throughout the day along with hail. At crescent it was just to the side of us, so we just got the wind.
