Looks windy, rigging 5.0 will probably be over powered.

About 20 peeps showed up. Over 25 knots at the peak.

Also, the chip stand was open. Except for rainy days, they're open until November 30! Delicious!!

It would be AWESOME if you 'in the know' would give a heads up the day or night before.
Even the morning of would be helpful. Where is this place anyway?

It's here, https://goo.gl/maps/BT1AUPSdvWH2 near Jericho sailing centre. Today's wind showed up on the GFS forecast at least five days ago. It's was 17 NW on Windguru for Jericho, that usually translates into well over 20. https://www.windguru.cz/3610

Jericho is only good for Westerly or NW, for Jericho these are the only directions that the GFS model will under forecast. In case you're new here, Jericho hardly ever blows.

Check Centenial Beach (Boundary Bay) or Columbia beach on the Island for S or SE. There are other spots but those are the main ones for fall and winter.

Jericho (English Bay) blows frequently from April well in to July and is good for SW-NW. During the summer thermals can be pretty predictable. Jericho/Locarno was very good this season with many sailable days right in to October. Too many sailors write-off Locarno if you ask me.
