Hey Michael, I would be honoured to take your Tabou pocket and continue bruising and battering it.
Cheers, rich

I just turned 40 and I'm interested in the SUP. Do you think it would float well enough for a 150 lb old man and a 50 pound kid? Does it perform well in waves? I have tooled around with a SUP in flat water but never in the surf.

Hey Tony, I'm a 180 lb 50 year old man and it has plenty of float for me. You are welcome to come out to Tsawwassen and take it for a paddle, I could meet you in Boundary Bay if you like.
It works great in the surf, many days at Long Beach on this board. It might do even better with a quad set of fins, I regret not getting a set for it myself.

I think the board performs better than me in the waves, :D but here are a few pictures that Dave took of me on some medium sized waves at Long Beach. Thanks for the pics Dave!

Decided to sell my hotsails Quads. 5.2,4.7,4.3. I was going to keep them as spares but they are just too nice to have sitting around. The 5.2 had some stitching come loss and the 4.3 had a tear in the mast sleeve from a broken mast. Both were repaired by North Sails in Richmond. The paint is coming off which you can see in the pictures and the 5.2 has a small tear covered with tuck tape, but otherwise they are in good shape. The 5.2 was the most used. All 3 can rig on a 370 mast. $175 each, look at the price on the new ones, it's crazy! Test drives welcome at Boundary Bay.

Hotsails says... The QU4D is our new super compact 4 batten wave sail designed for radical and aggressive riders for use in a variety of wave conditions.

Same sails as last year, hotsails firelights, but thanks to Mr Grelon an ultrakode is my new high wind wave machine! :D :D :D Haven't sailed it since these photos were taken back in June, can't wait to get it out in Boundary Bay.

Thanks to Dave C36 for the photo!
