Boundary Bay Today

Windsurfing shop talk

Boundary Bay looks sailable. Lots of kites out, at least a dozen, thanks for the OSR guys?
Tide is low and on it's way in, but doable from the boat launch. Not sure if the wind will last, hope someone makes it out.

First Boundary Bay session of the season!

Scored 1.5 hr dawn patrol session (7:30-9am). Warm SE 18-20 on 12m+surfboard. Had to hunt for 1' waves outside by Centennial. Huge turn out - over 15 kiters.

Lots of weeds ... lots of boosting to shake them off. Sooooo nice to be on surfboard.

Sorry Michael for lack of OSR - on a tight timeline today ... and too much socializing.

Hey Alton, the low tide scared me away from showing up this morning! Do you think it would have been ok for windsurfing? How far would I have had to walk?

Would have been too light for windsurfing. Surface winds < wind above.
Launching from the boat launch would have been the call.

Got out for 2 hours this morning, light wind but still beats being on the beach.

Took the afternoon shift at the ferry terminal. Bout 2 hours 1:30 - 3:30 most of the time decently powered on the 11m and TT. No other kites out just one foil windsurfer who was struggling with the weeds.
