Got out behind the boat on my Catch Surf Stump 5-0 last weekend. I'm really impressed with this board as a twin. Very smooth and fun to carve. As a quad it's way too locked in behind the boat, I've found in the past though that popping up on a quad with only the front twins in extremely hard so I'm not sure how it would do as a twin in the ocean.
Anyone know of a good option for a half fin to put in the rear twins? I could try two Nubster fins but they are designed to be in the 5th fin position not run as a pair in the rear quads.
The others on board had a lot of trouble with it as a twin, which was kind of surprising to me but just too loose for them.
Having the option to swap in the full quad makes it a pretty perfect beginner board too. We had the 8 and 10 yo kids surfing it via starting on their knees.
