I used stair grip tape (black/yellow); there's also tub and shower safety strips (white). Inexpensive and fast.
Make a pattern with rounded corners apply it on the slippy spots.
It might be difficult to peel off the non-stick side so put tape on both sides to pull it apart.

Best i hear is acetate from old eyeglasses. Chew through a pair with a belt sander and collect the dust. Mix it in with your paint/epoxy.....

Not aware of any local sources (could check with Airtime). Windance does carries both Re-Deck and Monster paint traction spray. Home Depot carries non-skid floor finish additive that can be sprinkled onto clear epoxy (like West System) to recreate OEM non-skid finish. You can see the examples of the non-skid floor finish additive here and an example of the Monster paint traction spray here.

During the last century when slippery BIC boards were popular, a common fix was to wear booties.

Still too slippery and the board is an Equipe so grip is essential.

Well a thin clear coat epoxy neatly masked off then sprinkle sugur over surface. Once cured rince off excess sugar leaving a nice pro traction deck.

I recommend the Silvertip Laminating Resin, have made a surfboard with this resin and is nice to work with. As Adrian said you can spread sugar over the resin and rinse it off after to create texture.
FiberTek also has a filler that you can add into the resin called "non slip additive" it's basically crushed walnut shells that create a rough surface
