Check out Short Sands Beach in Oswald West State Park. Great break and good spot for the kids to explore.

Agree Slappy, I met my now wife at short sands may long 15 years ago. Been going back every year since.

Yesterday went to Pacific city / cape Kiwanda. Climbed the sand cliff with the kids then got out for a quick surf while they played in the sand.

Surf was good 3-5 feet, good spacing between sets again.

Humback whales were in the bay all day and even got into he surf lineup.

Finish off with a brew in the sand at Pelican pub. Then headed up to Cape Meares lighthouse and octopus tree.

Today we went to the blue heron cheese factory (never been to that one, has a petting zoo) then spent all afternoon in the sand at Manzanita. After kids were done and in the bath i disappeared to short sands for a fantastic evening session. Waves are getting smaller and the larger sets farther apart, but the water feels 5degrees warmer, 2-4 ft and the humpbacks made a guest appearance again.

My SUP is coming down with my friends on Thursday, I may need it.

I love Oregon!
