Are things lining up for a possible Westerly Saturday? TAF currently showing W 10g20 at 11am on Saturday.

Environment Canada is just about the only other model picking up the NW tomorrow. They are calling 15 to 20 knots starting mid morning but usually those wind speeds are only achieved out in the strait. Might be a bit of a thermal with the temp gradient too, but doesn't look too inspiring at the moment

A solid TAF and 15-20 in the Straight is bankable. 12m conditions at Spanish Banks tomorrow.

Up to 12.5 degree water temp too. We had hit 16 degrees on Wednesday!

Locarno certainly delivered today. Water was unorganized and strong tides. However, the wind was solid! Plenty of kiters, windsurfers and foilers out. Great turnout.

Looks likes its STILL blowing out there even as I type although it has dropped off.

First hour was underpowered down at the concession but things up at Acadia were decent.
On the water from 12:15 - 3:00 on 12m + skim. Should have taken the surfboard today though.

Saw a big ol' sea lion out at the first dolphin today. First time I've seen one at SB.

Sometimes. Arrived around 3 pm to the folks at Nexen saying it was a rather short window and it had passed. Drove around to the spit as it look like there was still some localized wind up there and there was. It was a little on the light side for 5.3/115, but got a few rides in (more once I eased off on the downhaul). Wind was pretty steady and reaching way up the throat of the river. There were more than a few seals feeding in the current in the river. Even though the crowd was light saw some strange goings on (no look turns/boosts guys waffling really close to the piles). AG seemed to like the rush of his new slalom kit. Nice to see Adrian out.

Took the kid out to Acadia today and it was another beautiful LW low tide day. Would have been enough for me on my 12m. More than enough for him on the 6.5m. About 12-14 knots.

Actually maybe it was more 8-14 knots with an average of around 11. Hard to tell when you are only flying a 6.5m.
