Must have just missed you, DB. Checked Erwin Drive on my way out of West Van around 1pm, hoping I wouldn't have to drive too far for something. Finally decided to gamble on a late trek over to WR, as it didn't seem wind would be coming north any time soon. Driving in down into WR along 16th ave it looked pretty awesome north of the pier.
Arrived just as Alton was heading out. Rigged and suited up quick to make sure I'd get at least a few runs before things turned off, and I did. 5.2m / 80l got me a few jumps and one loop before it switched even more onshore and slowly turned off.
Should've committed to sailing and chasing wind early: broke my only wind chasing rule, which is, if you're gonna go on a sketchy forecast, go early to get the most of whatever is on offer. Oh well, still have WA in the back of my mind... I have a feeling some other pole dancers tested the waters at potentially more lucrative spots..
