My first wave session of the season was amazing. Started on 12m+TT for some super lofty boosting in S 20-25 - overpowered in the gusts. Still feeling awkward riding a twin tip in waves so decide to switch to 9m+SB. First regretted downsizing as the wind lulled but it returned with a vengeance SSW 25 g 30 - wish I had brought my 7m. Clean waist high breaking waves at the east end with glassy sections between. Endless hits and super fun bottom turns. Called it quits after 2.5 hrs TOW when waves became disorganized. Nice to end the session with sunny sky.

Big kiter turn out (over 20) but only Brad scored a great windsurfing session - where did all the windsurfers go?

Expensive parking? Speaking of which it's quite a rip off. You park there and nearly every business is closed.

Should be free parking like free bridge toll at Port Mann bridge and you'll see a skyrocket in people visiting that place and good enough incentive for these businesses to open -- rain or shine.

Hey there's an idea for SWS meeting -- charge parking for those who use the spit parking avoiding to pay the $20 sailing session.

The City of White Rock doesn't own the land where the parking is. The BNSF railway leases it to the city. Most of the parking fees go back in paying the lease. Being a White Rock resident I've got a parking pass that costs me $40 for the year.
