BBay delivered today for those willing to wait.
The iKite sensor graph doesn't feel like a good representation of the wind today, CZBB is actually more what it was like on the water.

I got on the water at 1:00 - 1:40 for a LW session on my 12m and freshly fixed skim in what felt like 12-14 knots. Then the wind died and I stood on a sandbar with my kite at 12 for 20 minutes about 400m from shore. Finally the wind came back and was a solid 15-18 knots just long enough to lure Cash back out, as he hit the water it died again.
2 hours later after Cash took one for the team and packed up and left then the wind came up almost immediately, this time proper wind. Anywhere from 18-25 knots. Scored almost another 2 hours on the 12m + SB, would have rather been on my 9m but 12m was manageable.
Second session rocking the
Wave Bandit and again it delivered. This board just makes me push it so much harder than my other boards where I might sit back and cruise.
The stock fins do very well in the weeds and once you get some they are very easy to clear with a small chop hop or a carve to 180 and ride backwards. Also good to have the option to ride backwards for the serious weed patches near shore.
Got to test the board in the surf today and it performed better than I expected, mega fun to slash with even though the waves weren't amazing today. I even found myself doing a layback recovery on one turn. Stomped some air 180s and duck tacks too.
The heel dents don't look much worse than after the first session so that's a good sign for durability.
