Possibly W-NW winds in the 20-30 knot range later in the day. Might be a good Tsawwassen to Point Bob downwinder day.

Gale force NW winds forecast for Wednesday afternoon. I would expect EC to issue a wind warning for 50-70 km/hr NW winds near the Strait on Wednesday by this evening.

I may be down for checking out point Bob if it is an afternoon affair, but it will be hard to leave the beach that is so close to my place...

Sisters just jumped from South 8 knots to Northwest 27 knots in the past 40 minutes. I would guesstimate a 1200-1300 arrival for Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal :D Looks like a great afternoon for Point Bob.

Hi Brad,

Entrance just spiked to NW22 from S6 in the past hour and Sandheads is SW16 and veering around into the NW.

I would bet on a NW direction rather than a W today. Sisters, Lazo, Mudge, Comox and Campbell are all NW to NNW. You should get stronger winds at Point Bob over Acadia.

The tide is setup nicely today for Point Bob on a NW wind. Launch from the paved boat launch and work on getting way, way upwind towards the ferry terminal.

Try to avoid rounding the point onto the south shore. Your crew had some nasty side shore current with all the water rounding the corner on Monday.

If the swell gets big and steep enough you'll see it jacking up over the shelf where the shallow bay falls off into deeper water. I hope it all comes together for you guys today at Point B.

Take it easy,

Chris
