Odd how Sunday's westerly looks strong on G-Spot but weak on WindGuru and NOAA. Fingers crossed for Acadia!

Windguru for Tsawwassen, Point Roberts, and Richmond are lighting up real nice so far for Sat evening - similar to the other forecasts. I find the HRW 4km tends to be the most accurate to actuals on a NW but Sunday isn't showing yet.

NOAA graph: even the NOAA text forecasts are starting to sound lighter and darker (night wind).

BWD 1 is bullish on Sunday with more wind at Garry Point than Acadia or Gulf Road (but it is yesterday's run, best to check back later).

BWD 2 (EC) has been pretty close to actuals from what I have seen in the past, but has yet to reveal forecast for Sunday.

from a surf point of view...

Sunday morning 6:15am-11am.
NW strait was slightly downgraded from gust 35mph to 30mph, wind like that may not get into Acadia (maybe 15-20 knots), it's been usually more North than West in the last year.

Same as before, best bet would be terminal, but I would consider Iona beach for kitesurfing, there is always surf around, and because it's shallow may need to watch tide/time (Slappy has info on tide).

first 50 meters in Iona is a black sludge, just walk the beach (West about 100 meters) then get into bay and launch, stable sand after; because it has a parallel beach you can always walk back.

if Acadia works out, great (just needs 45mph strait gust to be sure).

If it doesn't fill in at Acadia, Gary Point Park (GP) in Steveston will be solid Sunday morning with a full mix of conditions as the tide drops and the river flow increases (low tide around noon). Or if you prefer flat water, the Ferry Terminal in Tsawwassen should be good as well as these two locations tend to have the best wind on a NW. Point Roberts - Gulf Road is another option but it tends to drop off there before Tsawwassen and GP. DB

I'll wait and see but I'll probably hit Gulf Rd. I had a few moments out there last time that made me want to go back and try it again, especially if that forecast delivers!
