Made the trip. Took approx. 1 hour and 40 minutes from door to the lake. Pretty happy about that! Got there to see the gate locked, but Cash was already in the water on his 13.5 getting some good airtime as usual. I stopped to take some photos from the far end of the lake and unbeknownst to me I captured Cash riding. In those shots from the far end of the lake you can see the holes in the wind. It gradually got worse and worse. I pumped up 9M as the wind was quite strong when it was blowing. Cash switched to the 9 as well. We both battled the up and down wind for an hour or so, and finally packed it in. The Kamloops crew showed up and we contemplated heading back out but after watching Bill head out on his 10M it was apparent the wind was not worth it. It would nuke for 30 seconds, then blow 20Kt for a minute then drop to almost nothing...and repeat. Quite typical for this time of year, and location but always worth a try. The waves were starting to form very nicely.
Cash scored the best part of the day - before noon with nice steady conditions.
