That launch is sketchy for sure, but it would be interesting to know if that is the only way to get in the water or his 'choice' - like the surfers who jump into Pavilions from the point. At least once he is out the wave is peeling. [edit: I think I see the answer at 3:22 in the second video M posted :o ]

That video of Northern Ireland AG posted had some over mast-high closeout makers in it that personally gave me shivers! Bone crushers those!

Still a little undecided as to which is 'worse'. Lucky I don't have to make the call. :D ;)

Don't think so Dave!
Hookipa looks like it would be a lot easier than that thanks, especially on a day like this....

To try during the next CB outing. I have seen Windoc and Ozzy try wave 360s there, but I don't think the waves are usually big or powerful enough for those... takas on the other hand should be realistic.

I tried this different "upwind" variation last time, out of the straps:

On the right wave I don't think it would be too tough.

Ok that's it. We really need to turn Vancouver into a wavesailing spot. What are we gonna do with that island in our way?

Adrien, those waves look so heavy and they close out with a vengeance, only escape I guess is to fly over them. Make a mistake and you are done, great photos!

GB, I've only hit it on small days, but it was already super fun! I'll hit it one day on a big day and it'll be epic:

The surfing (and SUP, as seen in the vid) can be pretty damn good in the area too.
