Update:

Shawn and I started jumping our pocket foils w straps and they both have gone soft in front of the mount. Skins are fine, but the core either delaminated or broke down.

I think the relatively thin core contributed as that puts a lot more stress on the core. Back to riding board #1, which is pretty good too.

Thinking of ways to build a bomber hydrofoil for jumping but still keep it lightweight. Seems like Moses has it figured out.

I have built surfboards and foils in the past and was thinking of building a foil board. To keep it going soft in front of the mount add a stringers to both sides of the tracks the lengnth of the board. Also instead of using a normal carbon weave use lots of uni and bias ply ( weave at 45 degrees). Also layer the carbon so you have 5 layers at he mount while only 1 or two at the nose.
