I definitely don't want to be irresponsible or push the boundaries inappropriately but as of now the public health orders still allow people to go outside and get some fresh air as far as I'm aware. Unfortunately although the tone from Horgan was very stern about fines etc. there isn't a lot of clarity about what the actual orders are or where they can be found.

The forecast for 3rd Avenue on Saturday looks good. I haven't heard whether 3rd Avenue is closed but likely not as people go for walks along that foreshore with their dogs. The tide is very low at 2pm meaning that self-launch and land is an easy safe option from the bank.

I'm curious what people in the community think. No way, or go kite?

got a session at crescent beach today, 8.4 and 125L, no issue with parking!

No better time to go windsurf, very few people on the beach and no stupid questions anymore! People too afraid to talk to anyone...

"is that wind-kayaking??" :|

Was at Squamish last Friday. Arrive as 2 foilers left. Was only one there at first. A couple others arrived and got on water (kite). When came off the water it was CROWDED on the launch area. Way too contained to be 100% sure of always properly distanced. Will not be doing that again.

Just noticed that the road along the Tswassen ferry terminal spit is gated off (Closed). Don’t waste gas coming out here to access the water.
I am off to Victoria this morning to bring my daughter home from UVic, armed with gloves and hand sanitizer!!

As much as my body and soul need to go windsurfing I'll not be going. We shouldn't be having this conversation, stay home please!

I’ve come to the same conclusion thanks Michael. Just providing observations in case people think some places are still open for use - they are not.

Stay home people. Make more babies if you’re bored as it’s a given lives will be lost in this crisis. Nature balancing itself.
