Any of you successfully purchase/renew your Jericho seasonal parking pass through Honkmobile? Their online renewal system is giving me grief.

Hey if you can swing the time, I'd suggest a Spit pass rather than a Jericho pass.

Leave Vancouver noon. You only need to bring one board, and maybe two sails. On the water by 2:00. Sail 90 minutes. Home by 6:00.

Do that every weekend, plus a week or two of summer vacation. You'll be doing lay-down gybes like a boss at the end of the summer.

After 2020, this unique opportunity may disappear for the rest of your lifetime.

I don't think windsurfers will ever lose access to the Squamish River, they will simply have to slog over from another launch.

Now kiters in the other hand might be screwed.

I just had got this image of what the bay would look like without the spit. If they get rid of the entire thing it could be awesome. A way bigger sailing area with much less current and nothing to disturb the wind. Sorry, just trying to be positive.

SWS could provide a tow service to the wind. Depending on the boat you might be able to ferry windsurfers/kiteboarders out to the windline on one ride.

Woodfibre would be wonderful. Lots of paved parking and a dock.

Harrison Lake is a good option too. Takes less time to get to than Squamish, from New West in the morning at least.

I don't think I'd sail Jericho if it was free parking.

Jericho = 10.0

Harrison = 7.0

Spit = 5.0. Gybemaster. You can taste it, can't you. Go ahead. You wanna.

Seriously. At the spit, you can learn the fundamentals to sail The Gorge, etc. It's almost impossible to do that at Jericho.
