As I mentioned before, DFO's sediment flow analysis results should have been complete approximately now. I'm
guessing the results showed that the port does need sediment deflection after all, so they can't just remove the spit and be done with it. This is wild speculation but I can't really imagine any other reason SRWS would stray from its original plans. I wish all parties involved would share more information...
Anyways, IF my guess is correct this is good news because it gives us another chance at negotiating a replacement for windsports access. Now's a good time as ever to show your support for SWS.
Update: SWS says the sediment flow analysis is actually not complete yet. So then I don't know why the sudden change of plans.
