I am going to go check out Harrison lake for the first time on Saturday, temp gradient looks good and want something different than the spit on a weekend

Any recommendations or local beta from those that have sailed there before?

If you check out the website www.harrisonwindsports.com there is a detailed explanation about the spot. A few of us were out today - gusty but super fun, never crowded. If you check out the chat box on the website you can see if anyone is planning to go.

Apparently it used to be extremely popular for windsurfing before they built the breakwater. The breakwater now is massive, and it blocks the wind for sailors. Kiters can launch (with help). I've seen sailors tuck in front of the breakwater and are able to get out.
Great crew there when it is on. Bear creek 20 minutes down the gravel is awesome. Touch to self launch kites, but wind is usually stronger here, and waves are nice.

Hi Lucas,

Did you end up going to Harrison? If so, how was it?
I’ts been on my list for a while now. Might go there next.

Was planning on trying tomorrow, more clouds in the forecast now so the wind may be shifty
