Yesterday is one of those days that shows how different these sensors can be.

The Squamish Terminals sensor doesn't reveal the holes well. It has no lull data, and its data points use longer term averaging ( which also contributes to its data points not being independent). Often there are days where the data is sporadic.

The iKitesurf sensor shows lulls, and is located near the Terminal sensor. Be aware that the direction it shows has been too westerly.

The on-site sensor on the Spit pilings is in the most sensible location.

All of the above sensors report speeds higher than the on-the-water level.

China Creek (2018 May 28)

Image
Fun evening flat water session at China Creek. Rigged 6.1/115 in the lull when I arrived and was LIT when I left the beach. Sailed up to the first beach. Wilderness, fresh water, wind and sun! Sandy Beach was stoked about the wind and their season pass at China Creek. Thanks to SB for the morning OSR. Sunset dinner on the beach.
