Zed Skimboards

I recently inherited a Zed Skimboard, "The Tantrum 137", a wave board. They went out of business in 2015 and they were primarily a flat land brand. There isn't much info out there on their boards, especially the wave boards.

Anyone know much about them? I'm guessing it's a polyester layup.

I have a Zed I bought used on CL years ago. It's a wave shape, says 139 on it, but more like a 136. Where I have worn away the epoxy it looks like a glass on wood layup, but it must have a foam core as it's really light. I have found very little about them online, but am under the impression they are from the Island. It's super fun to ride, but likely not better than anything in your quiver. I recall seeing my board in Pacific Boarder years ago price was comparable to any of the other high end wave skims. An inherited Zed is a score for sure.
