Off Topic Comments, Help, Tips and Trick

Everyone please sign this petition and share. The Olympic committee is at it again.

Keep Windsurfing in the Olympics for 2024
https://www.change.org/p/keep-windsurfi ... s-for-2024

Removing Windsurfing RS:X from the Olympics would be a huge mistake and is very short sighted. Windsurfing is currently undergoing a Renaissance and regaining significant popularity. Everyone please sign this petition and keep Windsurfing in the Olympics. In addition to keeping RS:X Windsurfing in place it would be excellent to see Olympic Windsurfing expand to include Freestyle and/or Wave Sailing.

Why in the name of Joe Bats Arm, would you want to soil such a beautiful activity as windsurfing, by having it even remotely associated with such a festering pos as the olympics? A group of rich fetid, old, wrinkled men, exploiting and profiting on the sweat and blood of amazing young athletes...everything that is touched by 'the olympics' gets infected, rots from the inside, and then dies a slow, dank, odorous death... Just move on, nothing to see here...

Enjoy the activity as it is. Don't stab it in the back by prostituting it out to the system.

Looking at the stoke here, the fantastic attitude of the local windsurfing community...no need to try to popularize it by getting a reach around from those vultures.

I want it to remain, just not in the RS:X format which frankly sucks.

they should put giant wind fans at the indoor Olympic pool with special booster ramps for major tricks.

They need to switch to foil windsurfing because it's painful watching a WS race in 7 knots.

One of the proposals is a slalom/foil board which will change from a standard triangle course to a slalom course at a specific wind speed. Unlike the RS:X it's a setup someone might actually have fun sailing.

P.S. if you think raceboard is slow and boring in 7kts you should watch one of the slower dinghy classes: paint drying.

Watching windsurfing in the Olympics has always sucked. In my opinion it's a completely different sport than the bump and jump, slalom and wavesailing real windsurfers like you guys do. The sport is better off without it represented this way in the Olympics, just like skiing is better off without ballet skiing.

Well technically Ballet Skiing was an Olympic Demonstration Sport only; not an official Olympic sport. Had to google Ballet Skiing.

You could be on to something though. Synchronized Wave Sailing? Ballet Freestyle Wave? Anyone? Anyone?
