Wonder if anyone out there is wearing a surfing wetsuit to Kite or windsurf.
I am concerned of windchill in surf suit without smoothskin.
I am surfing all year on Coast and need to purchase new wetsuit which I hope will double for Kite on windsurf.
Any opinions/ experience would be super helpful as I have always used my NP dry which is falling apart now.
Cheers

Will this be the kind of stuff we'll talk about at the annual meeting? Wetsuits?

Wetsuit selection and motorbikes are not expected to be on the Agenda. Complaints by members about cleanliness of port-a-potties and dog etiquette are optional.

Is it possible to vote to reduce fees at the SWS meeting?
20$day and 165 year suck
15$ / 120$ , and I would prefer 12/100,
whats next, 25$ /200?
Also, any people demoing kites(like NORTH ,Cabrinah,Ozone) been charge extra as kite companies n reps n stores get money back with publicity and deals and paybacks.

Not a member so my voice is not worth much, but should the spit have a maximum capacity limit per day for kitesurfers and or windsurfers ?
Day fees should be reduced I agree with Bandito, a rescue fee system should be in place, which would reduce the annual fee and make people more responsible.
I am not looking at starting a debate here, just throwing some ideas out there, so 1 day we might come back to the spit to spend time with friends.

Just for reference:

  • I spent August in Toronto so I only got 45 sessions at Squamish this season
  • $165 membership / 45 sessions = $3.70 per session
  • gas cost (excluding vehicle wear-and-tear) from North Van in a small car = $15 per round trip
  • Most of you probably spend much more $$$ on gas
