a moveable camera dedicated for rescue and not recording friends on top of Sea Can would help a lot if properly use for faster rescue and not missing people maybe? or is it that frequent water survey through binocular is not happening enouph...

Accountability from rescue staff is require as some seems to think they are not fairly treated or rescue in timely manner even when no others are getting rescued. I personally been rescued in fairly timed manner and treated nicely before but some think not. Rescue require dedication to really look around ,get on the water asap and be impersonal and cordial .

Does the society keep a log of rescues and type each year?
For eg. Kites rescues vs windsurf rescues? Beginner rescues? No wind rescues? Major events?

Cheers

Denham has a record of the rescues sorted by kite and windsurf but not by reason. I'm going to get those stats for the meeting.

Thx Tony,
Since the SWS requires for there to be a rescue service on site at the Spit. It may be worth having the rescue staff fill out a "rescue assesment" form when they pull someone in.
Statistical analysis could be used at year end to help the program improve going forward.
This could possibly facilitate budgeting and other things related to financial expenditure of a "rescue service". And help with accountability should adverse event(s) occur.
