Well, I've been MIA for the last 12 months it feels. Gearing up for the winter. Looking for a new twin tip good for boosting and fairly good in typical conditions found around here during storm season.
I have mako 150 and a surf board for waves. looking for lighter twintip that holds an edge and help me go high.

I owned a Mako 150 in the past and while I loved it's chop eating I didn't like the way it boosted at all. I switched to the older version of the Shinn Pinbot and it does everything right while eating chop too. I tried to upgrade to another Shinn board but ended up going back and selling the new board because on the old board I could just forget about it and it behaved perfectly.

If I ever upgrade my old Shinn again it will be to a Pinbot or maybe a Monk.

Thanks Slappy. Monk video looks like some of the stuff we see out this way during the winter. I'm 190 without my wet gear. I wonder if 135cm is too small? I guess I could lose a few pounds. Weird cuz I only been riding a 150 TT and most other boards are fair bit shorter.

Very happy with my North Jamie 136. Great balance of pop/rocker vs straight edge. Has awesome upwind performance. And pops me up to the 10m mark no problem! (if there is enough wind that is  )

If your looking for a cheaper board take a look at the axis vanguard at silent sports. I have the axis limited which is the carbon fiber version of the vanguard, which I love the caracteristics of the board, just I'm not best pleased with the carbon fiber integrity, it has started delaminating on the edge. I would get the vanguard if I had to buy again. $349 with pads and fins is great value.
