Does it start on Saturday or Monday?

From the city website:
Lifeguards are on duty from Victoria Day until Labour Day from 11:30am to 8:30pm.

Sounds like they don't start until Monday, but I've always thought they started on the Saturday.

Got that 15-18knots at SB for an hour. Planing with my 7m/ 130 ltr and some other kite foilers there as well.
No lifeguards made an easy launch.
Tuesday late afternoon some NW.

Showed up at Jericho to find a lifeguard on duty >.< so I begrudging went up to the shit show at dog beach.

Got my board pissed on and kite stepped on when trying to pump up. Miraculously the lab's nails didn't go through my kite, at least I couldn't find any holes. God I hate Dog Beach. Big thanks to Al for helping me fend off the mongrels.

Opted to pump and rig up on the grass then carry straight in to the water and drift launch. 3.2m tide so it was upper chest which makes things challenging. Also garbage wind and lots of seaweed. Took about 45 minutes and several almost goes until I finally got out at 2:00.

12m and foilboard but it was very pretty light, dropped kite was a 10 min relaunch.

Warm water and sunshine made for good times though. by 4:00 the wind was way up down at JSCA, full depower. I went down to Kits Beach but wind started to get really light so turned around at the Kits sailing centre.

There were 2 pole dancers planning well on big gear at JSCA.

CG was out earlier on 11m + foil but disappeared before I got on the water.

Went in at 5:00 but there was still lots of wind left.

Another 2 hours of planing, before dog beach, 14-18 knots with a few holes, but the 7m goes over all the potholes.
Nice to get in shape without hitting the gym. Ready for Tues, nuking everywhere at 7pm, wave day :)
... Looks more like We'd morning, good for SUP at 630am because of tide, probably no local wind.

Scored a 2 hr sesh on the 17m + skim this morning from 11-1 at Dog Beach. Launched on the flats before the tide came in and deflated in the water on the way out.

8-12 knots warm and sunny.
