true. With my 6'8'' 35litre+ board, I can catch any wave earlier, get out of closing waves, higher speed on bigger waves. These boards are great for 6ft+surf as you are carving the wave slowly, on small waves it's easier to popup. What you don't get is the snapping quickness of a thin board, so, on medium surf it seems bulky.
A thin thruster board (6') on medium waves is a nicer board, a small movement & the board follows.
those are my only 2 boards.
Funny when David say "that's all you got!", yes! a wetsuit and a small board, closer to nature.
