I almost forgot about the SWS AGM

Notice of Annual General Meeting of the Squamish Windsports Society (“SWS”)

Date: Thursday November 17, 2016

Place: West Vancouver Yacht Club, 5854 Marine Dr, West Vancouver, BC

Hour: 7:00 p.m

Everyone is welcome to attend. Only members of SWS in good standing as of November 17, 2015 are permitted to vote.

Official business at the AGM will include:

• Reports from President and Treasurer
• Comments and Feedback from Members
• Election of Directors of SWS for 2017

you mean that as a full member now as I bought my membership beginning of these season I cannot vote? wow, that's democracy for you. I think they should lower membership prices and day fees btw, 165$ a year and 20$ a day I always thought too much.100-120$ season and 10-12 $ a day. next some click will vote 200 $ season and 25 a day??? like ski pass , lets user sign a waiver of non liability. im afraid kite schools members ,people who work there and there "friends" may have majority veto for whatever ...
also I remember been close to people one day a while ago because The Virgin Guy wanted to make a commercial or something and money talk.
by lowering fees some local who use nexen will be back at the spit I think.

I seen someone pay 20$ close to 6pm and the office close down and jets ski gone like 40min after, very long waits for rescues, preferential treatments. Ways to address this as it happen and deal with is another issue. Not high fees or gadgets.

If you had a season membership for 2016 - doesn't matter when you purchased it - you are entitled to vote. As always SWS Financial Summaries will be available at the meeting to illustrate where your membership dues go. Looking forward to seeing many of you at the AGM - there will be a cash bar.

2. Some suggestions about speeding on the Spit road and other safety issues
3. No increase or decrease to membership fees or day fees
