What happened at kite clash?

Was really hoping to go down and check out the event, but brutal weather this weekend! I heard Sam Medysky had a bad crash. Should be a window for this event much like surf contests. Last week would've been good timing. Weekend sucked.

Friday was decent wind for the event. Sam caught an edge and fly swattered backwards making for a very nasty crash. Unfortunately I missed all the competition action, but caught some beautiful evening wind that was super consistent. Made for a wicked 12m session

Saturdays crazy strong 30+ kn winds made for a perfect Big Air showdown! I unfortunately didn't advance to the 2nd round myself But had a blast trying!
It was a VERY impressive spectacle of high flying kiters, with many up over 10m! One of the ladies set the highest jump of the event with a height of 12.something Meters! (12.4?)

I didn't go yesterday due to the sub-par conditions. But heard they managed to squeeze the ladies freestyle competition in.
