IOC Approves Surfing for Tokyo 2020 Olympics

There are some decent breaks along the Chiba Prefecture coast line which is about a 2 hour drive or 1.5 hour express train ride from downtown Tokyo. Typhoon season starts in July so there could be some serious swell depending on how they track through the region. Just hope they can slow down or stop the radiation that has continued to leak into the ocean off Fukushima since the Tsunami in 2011. The current flows North to South there until it meets a warm South to North current off of Tokyo Bay where it then moves out to the ocean towards Hawaii.
