Water Watches

So I lost my new watch during a foil wipe out yesterday, that's 3 watches in 6 months. I had it on my wrist for the first time as it was warm enough to wear thin gloves, with my thick gloves I had it clipped to my impact vest.

I was a Casio G-shock and I was very happy with it but it was a bit on the expensive side.

I might get the same watch again, but I'm open to cheaper options. Between my Timex Ironman that I had for 15 years and my G-shock I tried my wife's Ironman 50m resistant and it only lasted about an hour on the water so it has to be 100m but I'd rather 200m.

If I do get another G-shock, I would like to get a strap for it that wont fall off and also has strap all the way around so if a pin breaks the strap is still attached and the watch still attached by the other pin. I would also like it to be a longer strap so I can wear it over 10 mm of neoprene.

Anyone have any recommendations for watches or straps?

Altitude, barometer, temperature, compass

$65

http://www.amazon.ca/Pyle-Sport-PSWWM82 ... B00EDDE7PE

I had similar + tide + sunrise/sunset for no money

It was 10 meter water resistant, but sealing back would help extend.

Lasted 8 months, one day surfing water got in and died ... now i just look up to the sky/sun.

I have a Pebble Time it's waterproof and there are plastic and metal versions. I use the plastic model on the water. Ive made a nice wind, temp, tide watchface for it. It syncs with your smartphone over Bluetooth. If you get one message me and I'll send you my smartphone app for getting the wind, tide, temp on it.

I've been using a Casio G shock for about a year and a half now with no problems at all.

Do you use the stock strap over your wetsuit and gloves? For me there was very little tail left over my 4 mm + 2 mm neoprene and I guess that's how it came off.

My watch is easy to read. Very practical.

I use the last hole on the stock strap over a 5mm wetsuit with 2mm gloves.
