Hey Dudes and Dude-ettes.
Just a reminder for those of you looking for another option.
Harrison Lake has a small kiting/windsurfing community. I only kited here twice last year but had a great time both times. Fresh clear water and good people.
It's not ideal for newbies as most spots are side off shore wind, but don't let that scare the intermediate experts. There are some bailout spots, and both times I was there someone had a boat on standby incase anyone really got into trouble.

One of my favorite sessions was Bear Creek. It's about 30 minutes on the gravel road past town. Great spot to camp for a couple of days at 10 bucks/night - Forestry Camp
Here is link to the Harrison Windsports Society for more information on the beach.
