Stolen Credit Card

Off Topic Comments, Help, Tips and Trick

Yesterday night I reported a lost credit card to Visa. This morning Clay and Jerry told me that there has been a history of stolen credit cards at 72nd Street.

The burglars would unlock your car door, take your credit card ONLY and place your wallet back then lock your car door again.

This is a most likely scenario since the first fraudulent transaction occurred in Strawberry Hill Husky Gas in Surrey (16 km away) at 5:39pm 2 hours after I parked my car (3pm).

Mark, Jeff, Rob D and Matt P - please check your wallet for missing credit cards.

I left my key inside my car on Friday, called bcaa (my surf car is junk 97 honda smells like the sea, other car's all good).

They don't open cars with metal bars anymore. They use a small baloon which they insert between door and car frame (window level) they slightly bend the door where they insert a plastic strap to reach lock (2 minutes and it was done)... place wallet where's hard to get (inside spare tire, etc).

crap, i should start doing the same... 1 extra step now.

Tip from Jerry: Place a bait wallet (with some cash and expired credit card) in your glove compartment.

Wow. Sorry to hear that. Maybe better to bring wallet in kite bag to the beach. Be nice to catch the pricks in action.

No worries. Minor inconvenience with no credit card for 4 days.

Filed theft report with Delta Police and fraud report with Surrey Police today.

Hope they catch these guys so it doesn't happen to us again at 72nd Street.

Lucky for me I just happened to forget my wallet that day. My car smells like the sea too... Doesn't look like anything was missing. Sorry to here Alton, good thing credit cards are replaceable.

Just checked my stuff and everything is there. I've heard of cars being broken into there but thought that was a thing of the past. It sucks Alton, but better than them stealing a kite or your phone, much harder and expensive to replace.

That sucks. Checked my wallet and everything is there. By the way where is the lock on your car. Is it on top or down along the side?

Agreed. Small inconvenience was worth that fun session at 72nd.

Top. An auto-mechanic (or CAA) can unlock any car with the right tools.
