Looks good for tomorrow and Saturday at the lake.
Sailing centre has beauty launch, and good vibe. Warm water and decent waves.

Have fun where ever you end up this weekend. I'm hoping for a nice day at the lake Saturday.
Been a while.

Sounds like the only place locally that might actually get a puff this weekend. Enjoy!

Pretty awesome day. Took a few hours for the wind to settle down but eventually it was 20-25kts with occasional lulls that were manageable. Guys on 7m with surf boards a couple guys on 12's. Most on 8-10 meters.
Super good vibe. Personally i launched my biggest air to date. Im gonna eggagerate a bit but i think it was close to 40 feet! Fire pit and stories to end off the evening. Good times had by all.

First time at Nicola for me today. Pretty nice spot, it feels a lot like Nitnat once you are out on the water.

Very gusty wind though, lulls weren't too bad but the gusts would take me from sineing my 10m to stay planning to getting lifted off the water.

Waves set up very nicely for port tack jumping. Some fun waves over the sandbar just downwind of the launch too.

Rigging grass was great, goose poop wasn't too bad as it's mostly dried poop. Quite a few people camping there that don't know anything about kites though so watch out.

Nasty milfoil weeds right at the launch but once you are out of that bay it's fine.

$20 day use fee seemed a bit steep to me considering there is no rescue service.

Water temp was nice, I was a bit cold in my 1.5mm though as the air temp was only 22ish.

WTF ? Did we cross paths yesterday Slappy? I was riding North Rebel teal (dark green) w/ TT.

Did you camp?

The boat tied to the outside of the dock is used for rescues. They dont have staff there, but if someone was in trouble out in the lake one of the members would perform rescue.

I was on my usual Blade Trigger 10m ( http://www.sbckiteboard.com/uploads/Ima ... Review.jpg ) from 5:30 until 7:00.

I didn't camp, was on a day trip to Kamloops attending to some stuff.
