Gong doesn’t ship oversized items which includes hard boards. It gives some information on arranging your own shipping if you add an oversized item to your cart.

The 70cm mast is too short, the hand wing looks pretty dated with so many handles. Do they have more advanced front wings to upgrade once your past beginner stage? For a bit more than half that price you can get quality gear from gong that’s completely upgradable. The gong website also has. Wealth of information directing you on what gear to choose based on your weight and skill level. Check it out it will tell you the correct size hand wing for your 115 lb wife based on wind speeds.

Thanks for you thoughts Dellis. Much appreciated. I can see what you mean with those handles. The wing linked below looks a little more modern, the right size, similar price and is stock at North Shore Ski & Board. Does this wing look like a better choice?

A Gong setup certainly has me intrigued and is on the consideration list but... this will be something to explore over the down season as it would likely arrive too late in the season at this point. In the short term we're looking to a least get a wing asap so she can start practicing the basics on a regular windsurf board for now.

The SWS parking lot and gear drop-off is here.

You need to get day passes. Available on the SWS web site, which are on special for $25 for Saturday only. So, hey, all you Club Locarno and UBC Windsurfing peeps, reserve your Modo van share! Free hot dogs I'm gonna skip breakfast.

Awesome. We now own a 4.5 wing! We bought a new Cabrinha 2022 Crosswing X3. And so it begins!! (w/pump and leashes)

Now trying to track down a good second hand rigid board. After speaking with various people we've concluded a 95L would probably be a better size than 100-110. BUT... open to anything between 90-110.

Also trying to track down a 75mm / 1400-2000 foil setup.

Message me or reply if you have something available. Cheers!
