Hi! I'm interested in the bar. Want to know if it will be ok for my OR kites. I don't know enough about equipment to set it up for my gear. What area are you in? Do you ride in Squampton? ( I may know you if you do) Cheers, Deborah
OR kites use a stupid system where they are missing the front line pigtails, to use a regular bar with their kites I think you have to add a 4 or 6 inch pigtail to your kite's rear line attachment points.
I haven't picked up the bar yet (hopefully I will have by next week) and I have someone who is interested but we don't have an official deal yet.
That makes sense. That's what my friend did to the Best bar I was using. My issue with some bars is that the depower / power adjustment is a bit out of reach. I'm not very tall so short arm span. Though, saying that, now that I'm using a seat harness it's made that a bit easier but dunno 'bout your bar. I am potentially very interested though if you think it would work for me. Please let me know. Cash available !! (now !)
All of my OR kites are Prodigy.2014 /15. I have no idea what you're saying. I really am an equipment tard. Sorry. You obviously know your stuff so will trust your advice.
Some older kites were designed to flag on both front lines instead of a single line. While they would still flag on a single line, that's not how the manufacturer intended the safety to work.
You'd have to go back about 15 years to find a kite designed to flag on a steering line.
My understanding is: Single flagging bar on kite made for dual front line should be safe (though not as MFR intended or tested) Dual flagging bar on kite made for single front line flagging may or may not be safe (bridal may not have enough flexibility to roll kite over and fully depower)
