Heads up, quicksilver has syncro 543 backzip LFS suits for $145 CDN and GBS for $115 right now.

For a winter suit I recommend the LFS (formally called Pyre) its perfect for local kiting. Coupled with a wind layer and a toque I am good to below zero. Back zip is plenty fine for kiting and goes on and off fast.

They don't last forever, but are great for first couple years. When they stiffen up I cut em into shorties.

That's awesome. Can you buy these wetsuits at a store in the lower mainland (vs online)? If so, which one?

Not sure, to be honest this is my first wetsuit not bought at cleanline, in ore. Stupid American dollar.

How do u find the lsf 5, 4 in winter?
I wear a 6 mm excel on island to surf. Had a 5/4 np and found it cold after about 30 min in the water...
The excEl is a hot tub.

Not sure, I use a 4/3 LFS in winter.

5/4/3 is going to be a treat.

I struggled with warmth in my 5/4 cypher ($450 suit) and even bought a dry suit. Now that I have an exoskin top life is good in my 4/3 down to below freezing, which is all we really want.
