The fall is off to a tremendous start with lots of warm, windy storms! With more promise of high winds in the coming months, it's the perfect time to consider selling off some gear to make room for upgrades, or perhaps simply invest in some new gear at a great deal.
That's right... it's time for another SWAP meet!
Where: Lawn next to the Jericho Club turnaround. (1300 Discovery St, Vancouver, BC V6R 4L9)
When: Saturday November 26th @ 10am-noon, come rain or shine.
For those of you who have never been to one of these things, the rules are simple:
- If you have windsurfing gear you would like to sell or barter off, show up at 10am or even earlier and get your spot picked out on the lawn. Layout your gear with prices advertised. Call on your inner car salesman.
- If you are not selling anything, come hangout and bring a classic "cheap windsurfer" attitude to the lawn! The SWAP meets are THE place to pickup windsurfing gear for an absolute deal. If you are a club windsurfer and you've always wanted your own gear, this is the place to start. Bring cash. Lots of cash.
- If there is a mackin' local wind forecast, the SWAP will be cancelled and a notice of cancellation will be posted on this thread 24 hours before. Other than wind, the SWAP is on come rain or shine!
- The SWAP is KITE-FRIENDLY. That's right, we don't discriminate like Pres. Trump on this side of the soon-to-be wall. If you've got some dangling equipment that's ready for a new home, bring it along, but be warned: windsurfers are an incredibly cheap bunch (ex. windsurfers too, you know who you are
