Great powder day at Cypress! Multiple runs of fresh tracks down upper Jasey Jay, then lower Fork & Cascade. Later over to Sky chair then lots more powder on Humpty Dumpty then more on upper Horizon. Cypress listing 30 cm new snow as of 4 pm. :D

Day 16 - Nice groomer session and bluebird day at sunny Cypress (well above the Vancouver cloud and fog). It was terribly hard pack so I quickly switched from snowboard to skis - so much better. Best run was Panaroma - smooth and slowly (very slowy) started to soften towards noon. Fun day with Jerry and Clay.

Spent 2 hours at cypress this afternoon and the conditions weren't the best. Snow is getting thing and patchy in some areas. There was enough to keep me entertained for 8 runs but that was about it. They are in need of some new snow soon.

Hope 2015 is off to a bang back in BC! Over here in Africa, I scored some Namibian powder! Fresh tracks all day. No lift lines (as there were no lifts), and 40 degrees.

No luck with wind in Cape Town last week when I was there for two days... The NE wind was light, and the usual SE wasn't going to show up in time... I won't have any opportunities to chase when I'm back there on the 19th -21st as diving with great whites is taking precedence on my schedule :o :!:

Also checked jumping out of a plane from the bucket list today. Any adrenaline rush I've had in the past pales in comparison :D :o

See you guys in Feb. I'm trying to get the Himba people to teach me the secrets to their wind and rain dances ;)
