Had lots of great powder turns today. The highlights were hitting the Sky Chair shortly after it opened with about 15 CM of untracked snow on Tomcat and Ripcord followed by Top Gun. Trumpeter, Hose Side, the B-Hip, First Sun and Coyote 7 were all very sweet on the fat skis. Surprisingly few people there this morning. Almost no line-up on Lions until around 10:30 AM and minimal on Sky, Eagle and Raven.

Surprisingly good snow today, especially upper half of the mountain!! And then barely any people up there. Skied from 9-2, kept finding fresh tracks and with no lineups it was too good to stop. Apparently there was a bunch of accidents on the highway by and before ironworkers and then everyone tried to funnel through downtown in the morning turning it into a grid lock.

Had some turns with Skier Bob, Clay and Jerry this morning. Good test for the Gore-Tex as it was drizzling most of the time. Actually had some good powder turns on the upper parts of the slopes, but was quite sticky near the bottom. No waiting at the Raven Chair.

Day 14 - Haven't been to Cypress since last year but finally snuck in a skiing session. Most or the usual suspects were there. Excellent grooming with perfect visibility under blue sky. Poutine was great.

Day 15 - Skiing on hero groomers this morning. Yoga stretches and Brian's private lessons are starting to pay off ... so much easier to carve now.

35 CM of fresh powder in the Raven area this morning. Rob and I were the first ones down Black on Black, then did Meteor. Had a couple of face shots in the steep areas. It appears that no one works or goes to school any more as the Lions and Eagle chairs were crowded by 10:30 AM.

Yes, it seems that POW now means “Pass on Work”. The snow sure was nice this morning though.
