Day 33 - Fun slashy turns on snowboard in soft slushy snow (kinda felt like mini-pow). Early start at 8:30am (scored second chair). No usual suspects (just me, myself and I)

I see all the tables set up on the webcam, and the weather looks to be improving. Thinking of heading up around 2 for a few runs and some tasters. Hope to see some of you “Cypress regulars” there.

Weekend/ spring break crowds were nonexistent this entire week. Soft hero snow & sun every day.

Beer Fest today too.

Tomorrow is the start of the second week of Spring Break, and the upcoming week will probably be as devoid of crowds as this past week.

Sunday ETA early for first chair.

Day 35 (forgot to post day 34 yesterday) - fantastic groomer conditions. Fun snowboarding with LeopardSkin and Boris. Other usual suspects included Clay and Bob.

Fabulous morning at Cypress for Rob & I, with very few people on the slopes. The Avalanche.ca forecast was right on with about 6 cm of new snow at the bottom, 15 cm at mid mountain, and 25 cm on Sky Chair. We had some nice turns on the Eagle chair then went over to Lions for first tracks on upper Bowen, then Moons. We hit the Sky Chair just as it opened at 10 AM with epic turns on Tomcat and Ripcord. We then did Top Gun which was superb, then poached Crazy Raven. I would have liked to do First Sun, Black on Black, and Meteor but since the chair wasn't running it would have been too much walking. :D

Day 37 - Fun riding with Doug and LeopardSkin this morning. Mix of soft and hard but became sugary soon. Too bad I had to dash back to work.

Had some good turns here and there with Skier Bob, and my nephew Matthew. Humpty Dumpty was quite nice although it was rough where you exit onto Horizon. Upper Horizon was closed because of all the bare patches that have appeared. Sky Chair was closed today as well due to high winds. One thing that was disappointing was the fact that they only groomed a narrow path on lower Jasey Jay despite the fact that there was still lots of snow in that area.

It was snowing quite hard at times and a bit breezy. :o
