I think it going to be a good year, Go Team Yellow , GO!

-Talk to Jerry the team Yellow's Captain for your riding questions.

-Try to talk to Bandito, the team Hardore Yellow subdivision Dictator (I probably will Not answer the secret powder sections and dangerous routes ….its a loner quest bound with broken limbs and possible death in reckless pursuits of adrenaline rush and extreme powdery pleasures)

What's New for 2018/19 (from Cypress web site)
What's New for 2018/19

What's new at Cypress Mountain for the 2018/19 Winter Season!
Snowmaking Expansion: We are very excited to announce that our state of the art snowmaking system is getting BIGGER! We have started our "Phase 5" Snowmaking Project on Lower Horizon ski run as part of our long-term development plan. A new snow making line will provide us coverage from the base of Lions Express Chairlift up Lower Horizon to the exit of Humpty Dumpty. This expansion will allow us to open Horizon Ski Run earlier than previous years and we will be able to refresh the area during the season.
"We are over the moon to be expanding our snow making system for the second year in a row. This latest installation will be a huge benefit for our day to day mountain operations, which in turn will help us provide our skiers/riders a better product" says Russell Chamberlain President of Cypress Mountain.
RFID: Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology will be implemented at Cypress Mountain this coming season, providing efficient, hassle-free lift access. RFID allows encoding of stored information to be transferred via a transmitter chip in your Season Pass or Ticket and read by a receiver.
"We are very excited about adding RFID technology to Cypress Mountain as this investment directly supports improving our guest experience and aligns with our vision and values. We can't wait for the winter to start!" says Russell Chamberlain President of Cypress Mountain.
Gates will be located at the main entrances and hand-held scanners in other locations. When a guest passes through the RFID gate, the gate will open automatically after registering the card. As in previous seasons, Ticket Checkers will be on hand to assist with the access gates and ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.
Season Pass Cards and Frequency Products will be reusable over multiple seasons and can be reloaded online or over the phone, allowing guests to bypass early season pickup lines. This also reduces plastic waste in the future and align with our goal of waste reducing. (Don't for get to buy on line not in line)
Current Season Passholders will be able to pick-up their new RFID cards starting mid-October and enjoy the convenience and speed for years to come. Stay tuned to your emails for the confirmed date and instructions on how to switch to the new RFID technology.
2 New Snowcats: We have more "red cat power" to add to the fleet this season. The first is a Piston Bully 600 Polar Winch cat. It is top of the line in its class and there is nothing like it on the North Shore. The addition of this cat allows us to groom more area and steeper slopes for your skiing/riding enjoyment. We also have a Piston Bully 400 that is going to be specifically for our Nordic Area and the Cross Country Trails.
Slope Improvements: Over the summer months, we have been busy working on several ski runs including summer brush cutting on First Sun and Coyote 7 on Raven Ridge top to bottom. There has been regrading work on Panorama to provide a better entrance to Crazy Raven run and Top Gun and Horizon ski runs have also seen improvements. The piece-de-resistance of the work will be done to Cat Track with summer grooming and new night lighting further improving Western Canada's Biggest Night Ski Operation!
New Website: We're excited to announce that our new and refreshed website is live. http://www.cypressmountain.com The updated site includes changes to navigation, with a better user experience for both mobile and desktop versions. We've also improved the structure, so you'll be able to find what you are looking for with ease. There's a bunch of other changes as well, all to make your experience of the Cypress Mountain Resort website that much better for you.
New APP for IOS and Android Devices: Stay up to date with all Cypress Mountain Resort information and news with our new mobile app! Get current updates on weather and snow conditions, view lift and run status and track your ski day! Purchase lift tickets, book lessons and browse other services on mountain. Enable push notifications for exclusive limited time deals available only to app users. http://cypressmountain.com/latest-news/ ... untain-app
Hollyburn Lodge: The Lodge received another coat of paint over the summer and the interior is all decorated with historic artifacts from the 1930s to present day. The lodge has never looked better and is patiently waiting in the woods, for all our Cross Country Skiers and Snowshoers for the winter to start!
