Fantastic morning at Cypress. Just about everything was skied out around the Lions and Eagle chairs first thing this morning so I headed to the Raven Ridge area. Had some fabulous fresh tracks on Black on Black (two laps) then went over to Meteor. It was one of those rare occassions with smooth, soft, dry untouched powder - 25 cm deep - along with sunshine, blue skies, and great scenery. It was a bit of a trek to get back to the Eagle Chair and I would usually only do it once but I couldn't resist today.
I noticed that there were a couple of grooming machines working around the bottom of the Raven chair so I wouldn't be surprised if they opened that chair in the next day or so.
I skied untill around 11 AM and the crowds were building. As I drove out I saw that all the parking lots were full except about 20 spaces at the end of 3B. However, there was a line of about 50 cars backed up on the road waiting to park who knows where.
