Fabulous powder day at Cypress. Much deeper snow than what I was expecting. The Eagle chair opened about 8:50 am and Bob and I headed straight for Raven Ridge. About 25 cm of new powder on Black on Black, Meteor, and Coyote 7. Big grins all around. Crazy Raven had been groomed late and only had a couple of cm on it. Went over to Moons after and still got quite a few fresh tracks. Also enjoyed by Jerry, Al, Benito, and Brian C (shamefully late arrival!). :D

Yes I was "shamefully late" arriving at 1030, but it was still better than being in Toronto! Finally dusted the snowboard off for some powder in the morning sun. Good thing I was on my own - too slow after so little practice. There was still lots of good stuff left on the edges of the runs though.

Who's skiing/boarding tomorrow? I'm heading to Cypress for some turns and wouldn't mind connecting with a few people as I don't know the mountain well. I have only skied/boarded there with my kids.

Not me. Still in Ottawa. Most of the guys wait for gates to open at 8:30am for first chair. Most of theses guys will be on skis unless there's a big dump.

If you're stuck on the plane, you can watch the skiing/ snowboarding film "Frozen."

Frozen movie...
how come the girl sitting comfortably on the the chairlift (probably sipping hot chocolate) is not helping the guy who's falling. Seems like a romantic movie to me (rated R).
