Nice, you riding skis or a snowboard? Did you make it to the second or third hump? Im hoping to do the same sometime over these holidays, how long is it up and down?

I'm a skier. Not enough snow to go up past the top of the lift and you have to ski down on the cat track as there are a lot of rocks just under the surface.

It looks like they are getting a fair bunch. The parking lot depth has gone from abut 18 cm to 37 cm in the last 5 days and I find they are pretty good at their reporting. Its starting to trend in the right direction

I'm game for Seymour exercise. Joost and I were up there Friday afternoon. There was about 10-15cm fresh on top of an ice layer. Not bad for some exercise and a quick ride. It's fun to do by headlamp after work.

Skinned up yesterday, top half not bad on the way down but the last half was a sheet of ice. It was good to get up there, it was nice and sunny.

21 cm in last 24 hours, 61 cm in the last 2 days, 160 cm (a third of this years snow fall) in the last week. Wind blown breakable crust in the parking lot when I arrived. Caught first chair up (just before 9:30 am at Seymour). Interesting mix of consolidated snow, breakable crust and pockets of soft. First few runs felt awkward on the breakable crust. Better snow higher up on Brockton - some fun lines and softer pockets of snow in the wind shadows. Saw one guy launch a 30'+ jump off the Brockton cliff to land into a Hemlock as big as he was - the Hemlock didn't move! Breakable crust was softening at the parking lot as I left at about 11:30 am. Discovered a couple of new-to-me gladed lines mid-mountain. 14 short runs in 2 hours - amazing how much skiing you can get in when there are empty chairs!

Scored the goods at Mt. Baker today, they had 6" of fresh overnight and it was a fun first day on the hill. Left the Sunshine though as I drove East on 542 past Maple Creek/Golden. High overcast left decent visibility with the sun poking through only once. Good first day out for the season though everything was pretty tracked out by the time I got there. Was able to find a few secret stashes of pow which was fun!

Had swung by the ferry terminal on my way down (after a late start) and just missed the wind, saw a few big kites sitting on the beach but wind was def below kiteable speeds. Stoked to have the Women's Gold Medal Hockey game on for the drive! A few fist pumps and high-beam flicky/horn tooting when they won on overtime! Ca-na-da! Ca-na-da!
Probably a good thing I dont have data roaming for the US on my phone 'cuz I would have bee-lined it straight to Widbey had I seen Chris' afternoon posts. Need to check that place out sometime.

TJ's run and cheap gas rounded out a fun afternoon!
