Pretty sure there is an easy fix: more time surfing. :D ;)

Surf was on at Honolua Bay yesterday. I didn't have a surf board with me again, second time at this place without a board, :( but scored some epic boogie boarding with my kids around the corner at DT Fleming park. That was the most fun I've ever had boogie boarding! Super fun Xlarge waves, with really long rides. Scored a nice SUP session at Ukumehame park the other day as well, not as nice of waves as at DT Fleming Park though. We are headed back there with surf boards again soon.

Took the family to Portland for the weekend and picked up a new 2016 9’ Gwhizz SUP from the slingshot factory for $500. They also have a few 2016 Rants (dedicated surf sups) . https://www.slingshotsports.com/slingsh ... t-sup-sale

Had a tire delaminate (2 new tires later) and both kids got really sick (eye and ear infections). I strongly support CDN health system but.... childens hospital in Portland has valet parking, kids were seen by 4 different happy, non stressed people, we were in and out in under an hour and they called today just to see how the kids are doing. :?

Back to the SUP, can’t wait to try it. We had the 2015 Rant, but I usually surfed our Starboard Whopper which at 10’ 34” wide 175L was more stable and way easier to punch through the surf back out, but it is a bit overkill, heavy and still has the old straight Hand slots (pain to hike into Oswald).

Hoping gwhizz with 9’ 33” wide and 165L is a lighter, more maneuverable package, but still stable enough to fish and tootle around with kids on.

For the record kids are easy to please, my daughter told me this was her favourite vacation while shivering w/fever and vomiting in a Target parking lot while we waited for the tire change so I could take them to the hospital.

Need to go back to work for some rest...

tough...

I'll try to post for local surf, as conditions at WB are good for SUP, but we need 0.9mHB. Kristy (#14 in the world) trains there :|

I expect a few SE's at PR this summer, good for SUP as wind usually shuts down.

not much locally, you may get a few surf sessions

we are using WhatsApp (george+KD+Adam, etc) otherwise too many messages back and forth as we are always looking at HB/Ballenas for 2 good readings before driving (+tide).

two 0.7mHB readings (2-3pm). WB looked ok by tide as well @8ft + local wind gives the extra 0.2m. Waves were there, as north shore had small surf (bigger at WB).
next time, no time for the drive today.
