When there's absolutely no wind

TAF doesn't look too promising for local wind tonight.

Yeap. Comox should be at 20 knots NW by now, by forecast, not even close.

Strait deflated to 0.4m at 3pm.

Sisters at 16 (mph) @4pm. .

We still have 3 hours until 7pm.

It will take 1.5 hours when Sisters turns on for the wind to come down to terminal I guess. short session if any.

0.9m at 2 am. But now it's 0.7m going to 0.6m probably, as hb 12-14, sisters at 10.

Same as last time, but higher tide.

I'll pass as it's too small for a decent ride, but should be OK for SUP.

I think that's it for NW. See you Adam on the next, hopefully a stronger NW.

not supposed to post anything but this is for your kids... if doing nothing today.

The strait is at 20 knots, it's 0.6mHB but it will get to 0.7mHB soon, and if lucky 0.8m.

Jericho is 14 knots+, and there is a strong incoming tide.

go to Sandy Ambleside and enjoy the surf, it's slowly building

0.8m was there at aside.
1-2 3ft sets
2-245 4ft sets
if it were 1.1m it would've been a 10 (@6-7ft incoming tide).
1 surfer. + lots of children enjoying the surf.

0.8m at WB right now works too, if anybody made it.

take what you can get.

right on! I am currently out of town until tomorrow eve so ive just been watching the webcams and buoy :D I have no excuse for missing Sunday's session other than laziness and perhaps staying up too late. looks like the tide was optimal for the double dip today. we should keep our eyes peeled and look for a Whidbey day. I'm sure there have been a few.real good ones this year that slipped through the cracks

Kd, yes WB had a few waves until high tide at 14+ft made all waves break at beach, there was a break over rocks, but decided to stay away from swimmers as they were having a great time. Aside had a few, nothing spectacular and slow waves but for local waves they were OK. I'll check tomorrow for the heck of it.

I was only able to get off work around 6 PM. By then the wind was dropping at Jericho so I decided against windsurfing, and the tide was > 4 m, which was too high for WB if I understand the rules properly.

I could see waves at Tower Beach from my place so I thought I would check it out. Those waves that had enough power were breaking directly in the rocks and logs on shore, which was really sketchy. Someone skilled in the art may have been able to catch some but I didn't. I then decided to practice duck diving, without much success either. After an hour or so of playing around in the water, I called it a day. It was a good workout to get ready for the next session.

Will keep an eye on the conditions tomorrow!

fyi,

yesterday's 0.8m blip is not there today.

Ballenas at 16 knots.
Columbia beach at 6 knots.
Southern strait: HB at 18 knots and strong local wind.
No surf for today (0.5m-0.6m all day from forecast+actuals) because Northern strait is mild.

Next session, maybe Sunday (3pm).
